Carpetbagger

I recieved an email today from a Sidcup resident asking if I would be raising the issue that James Brokenshire, the Conservative candidate for Old Bexley & Sidcup, is (to use their capitalisation) a CARPETBAGGER. Mr Brokenshire hopes to replace disgraced Conservative MP Derek Conway at the next General Election. Essex man Brokenshire was hunting for a seat to replace his present Essex constituency which is being abolished.
Interestingly both the Labour candidate and I have good local roots, and as a BETHS (and CVTHS) old boy, I won't hold the fact he is a Chis & Sid old boy against him!
But back to the question. Will I raise Brokenshire's carpetbagging? I the words of Sarah Palin - You Betcha!
