Labour and Tory vote collapse in Bexley

>> 04 July, 2008

The result of the Bexley Christchurch by-election can be found here.

Interesting is the change in the number of votes cast for the Conservatives, Lib Dems and Labour:
Top candidates 2006
Con 2205
Lab 733
LD 513

Votes this time as %age of 2006 (excluding BNP, who didn't stand in 2006)
Con 54.1%
LD 89.5%
Lab 56.1%

It's interesting that you initially showed the results in numbers then in percentages. Why was this? What were the actual votes?
