Brian Paddick had a mini campaign diary in the Mail on Sunday yesterday. I would like to make one correction to a diary entry. Brian says:
March 1st
Join Boris in Sidcup on a march against the closure of the A&E.
A Labour supporter erects a placard in front of my face and then, after Boris speaks, his organisers steal the megaphone so I cannot address the crowd. Politics is a dirty business

As
James Cleverly said on his blog, there was no Labour presence on the march, it is Labour who are closing hospitals. The placard was a Tory placard. And the person who stole the megaphone was a Tory cabinet member. In fact in the picture on James's blog you can see her in the green tabbard behind Boris with a clipboard under her arm.
As I said in my posting on the day, David Evenett the Bexleyheath & Crayford MP (where was local MP Derek Conway?) said how the opposition to the closure had to be cross-party, but then in a childish exhibition
Cllr Sharon Massey, the Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care grabbed the megaphone and ran off like a petulant teenager before Brian could speak.
