Support Brian Paddick? Then vote for Brian Paddick
>> 15 April, 2008
I am not surprised at the number of people who say they prefer Brian Paddick out of the mayoral candidates but will vote for Livingston/Johnson because they are the only one that can beat Johnson/Livingstone. But they overlook the voting system. If they vote for Brian and he is in the top two, there is a strong chance he will become mayor.
If he isn't in the top two, and they give their second preference to Livingston/Johnson their vote will transfer at full value to Livingston/Johnson. A win/win situation!

And how about you, do you support Brian Paddick? Most other candidates for GLA have his banner or at least a link to his site on their site, why don't you?
Yes I think it's a message we should be getting out in London but may have failed (I dont know as dont live in London). I asked my dad who he'd vote for if he was in London and he said "not Boris" than said "Ken". I said I'd give my first preference to Paddick then second to Ken. (Of course I dont live in London and am under age). Anyway you made a strong point. Just imagine what its like in Worcester in General Elections in a Tory/Labour marginal trying to stop people feeling the way you described.
I actually managed to mess up changing my Paddick banner a couple of days ago and had to do something in a hurry, so didn't sort it. I did do the one on my website www.borrowman.org.uk
Before the banner I had a button - but I will see to it now!
